The Food Security and Agriculture Office (DKPP) of Natuna Regency,\nRiau Islands, is monitoring and testing food materials at SPPG to ensure\nraw ingredients are safe, of good quality, and meet standards before\nbeing processed into nutritious meals.<\/p>\n
Head of the Food Security Division at DKPP Natuna Regency, Akmal\nDusty, confirmed on Wednesday that the activity is carried out every\nmonth. The most recent inspections took place on 12\u201313 August 2026 at\nSPPG Bunguran Batubi and SPPG Bunguran Utara.<\/p>\n
The testing involved samples of fresh food of plant origin (PSAT). At\nSPPG Bunguran Batubi, officers examined three PSAT samples: long beans,\nred chillies, and watermelon. The results showed all samples were\nnegative for pesticide residues.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, monitoring at SPPG Bunguran Utara covered five types of\nPSAT: carrots, cabbage, long beans, oranges, and shallots.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe test results showed that carrots, cabbage, long beans, and\noranges were negative for pesticide residues. The shallots were also\nnegative for formalin content,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In addition to PSAT, officers tested three chicken meat samples to\ndetect formalin, borax, and to ensure the meat did not come from\ncarcasses.<\/p>\n
The examination was conducted using a rapid chemical test method with\na Rapid Test Kit. Testing was carried out directly at the SPPG locations\nbefore the raw materials were processed into food.<\/p>\n
He explained that similar activities also target all SPPG facilities\nalready operating in Natuna Regency.<\/p>\n
