        "content": "<p>NATO strikes seen as drama<\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR (Reuter): Malaysia's Prime Minister Mahathir<br>\nMohamad on Saturday described the latest air strikes by the North<br>\nAtlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on Bosnian Serb positions as<br>\na mere Western drama.<\/p>\n<p>Mahathir was quoted by the national Bernama news agency as<br>\nsaying that he did not believe that NATO would continue the air<br>\nattacks as it feared Serb forces might surround the peacekeeping<br>\nforces of member states in Bosnia.<\/p>\n<p>Serb troops have already taken scores of peacekeepers hostage<br>\nas human shields against more air strikes.<\/p>\n<p>Mahathir felt that NATO would bow to Serbs' demands as it was<br>\nnot serious and feared that it would become involved directly in<br>\nthe war.<\/p>\n<p>He said that although Malaysia did not agree with the UN<br>\nmethods, it had to abide by the world body's directives.
