National workshop on tourism in Kuta<\/p>\n
KUTA: The Ministry of Culture and Tourism will hold a national
\nworkshop on tourism entitled Optimize the Quality of Indonesian
\nTourist Destinations at Ramada Bintang Bali Resort in Kuta from
\nNov. 22 through Nov. 23.<\/p>\n
The two-day meeting will discuss topics related to the
\ndevelopment of the tourist industry in a rapidly changing world.<\/p>\n
Among guest speakers will be Peter A. Semone, vice chairman of
\nthe Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) for development.
\nSemone will talk on recent trends in the development of tourist
\ndestinations.<\/p>\n
Former minister of tourism during the New Order period Joop
\nAve will also attend the meeting presenting a paper entitled
\nMenciptakan Destinasi Pariwisata Berdaya Saing Global or creating
\na global competitive tourist destination.<\/p>\n
Noted businessman and property magnate Ciputra will discuss
\nfinancing and investment in the tourist industry.<\/p>\n
