        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, stated that\nthe National Vocational Training is a government programme designed to\naccelerate workforce skills, ensuring they become increasingly adaptive\nto industrial dynamics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to expand public access to obtaining relevant applied\nexpertise,\u201d the Minister said in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has opened registration for Phase\n5 of the National Vocational Training online via the Skillhub platform,\nwhich will remain open until 16 September 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Yassierli noted that the rapidly changing industrial landscape\nrequires workers to continuously update and improve their skills.\nTherefore, he stated that upskilling and reskilling are essential so\nthat the national workforce can enhance competitiveness and meet labour\nmarket demands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll programmes are designed based on competency, ensuring that\nparticipants do not only master theory but also possess practical\nexpertise ready to be applied in the professional world,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Minister Yassierli explained that priority for Phase 5\nof the National Vocational Training will be given to job seekers,\nvictims of layoffs (PHK), and aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly high\nschool and vocational school (SMA\/SMK) graduates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough this scheme, participants are expected to increase their\ncompetitiveness to enter the labour market or possess the necessary\nskills to start their own independent businesses,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The registration process and the completion of the \u2018Siap Latih\u2019\nassessment remain open until 16 September 2026. Participants who pass\nthe initial selection must undergo an interview stage between 17\u201323\nSeptember 2026. The announcement of successful participants for PVN\nBatch 5 will be made on 24 September 2026.<\/p>",
