        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2013 The government has officially launched the National\nVocational Training Programme on Friday, 27 February 2026. The programme\naims to enhance the work competence of secondary school (SMA\/SMK)\ngraduates to align with the demands of the business and industrial\nsectors.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, stated that the programme is\nspecifically designed for secondary school alumni who graduated within\nthe past three years. In the first batch, 20,000 participant quotas have\nbeen prepared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBatch 1 is now open, and you can find more details on the Ministry\nof Manpower website, which also lists the available facilities and\nmore,\u201d he said during a press conference at the Ministry of Manpower\noffice on Friday afternoon, 27 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Yassierli explained that the government has allocated State Budget\n(APBN) funding to manage the programme for 70,000 people. However, in\nthe initial phase, the programme will target 20,000 participants first.\nShould the evaluation results indicate high enthusiasm, there is\npotential to increase participant numbers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing the evaluation of batch 1 with 20,000 people, if\nenthusiasm is strong, we certainly hope that 70,000 people will not be\nsufficient. The 70,000-person allocation already has budget from the\nAPBN,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that interested members of the public are urged to register\npromptly according to their skills and educational background.\nSubsequently, the Ministry of Manpower will conduct a selection\nprocess.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will undergo training at vocational centres distributed\nacross various regions of Indonesia. The Ministry of Manpower has also\nprepared dormitories for participants from outside their local areas and\nallocated transport allowances of Rp20,000 per day during the training\nperiod.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the training, we follow the Ministerial Decree, which sets the\ndaily allowance at Rp20,000 per day. This is to assist those\nparticipating in the training,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Training duration varies depending on the type of programme\nundertaken, ranging from two weeks, one month, to three months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur hope is certainly to optimise this programme. So in addition to\nthe national internship programme for higher education graduates, we are\nalso providing an alternative programme for secondary school graduates,\u201d\nYassierli said.<\/p>",
