With Jakarta as the constant winner<br>\nemerges a lopsided picture of sports training programs in the<br>\ncountry. The results reflect the fact that many regions lack<br>\nfacilities for sporting events and thus cannot participate in the<br>\nnational event. The situation is grim, especially when compared<br>\nto countries like Thailand.<\/p>\n<p>Remember when Thailand held the SEA Games in Chiang Mai? If we<br>\nhad difficulty holding the National Games, will we be ready to<br>\nhost the SEA Games here?<\/p>\n<p>We have not given enough serious thought to the development of<br>\nsports programs outside of Jakarta, the setting up of training<br>\nbranches, etc. Such strategies should be given more consideration<br>\nto prevent overdevelopment in one region.
