May our police maintain a solid footing in forthcoming<br>\nattempts to implement their famous slogan i.e.: To protect and to<br>\nserve.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, I would like to remind the police about the<br>\ndefiant tendencies which are more frequently being carried out by<br>\nthe owners of either private motorcycles or cars.<\/p>\n<p>I have seen many privately owned vehicles with unclear license<br>\nplates. There are even plates on vehicles which are painted<br>\ncompletely black.<\/p>\n<p>As a non-expert, I have recently noticed that some vehicle<br>\nowners intend to make the plates unreadable to other people or<br>\npolicemen.<\/p>\n<p>I asked myself whether these violations are being targeted by<br>\nthe police. The instances of vehicle theft, especially in Jakarta<br>\nand its surroundings, have been on the increase.<\/p>\n<p>I believe that by paying greater attention to the vehicles<br>\nwith unclear license plate numbers the cases of vehicle theft can<br>\nbe avoided or at least reduced.<\/p>\n<p>ANGKAWIJAYA B.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta<\/p>",
