        "content": "<p>The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has mandated all Nutrition\nService Fulfilment Units (SPPG) throughout the country to use social\nmedia as a platform for public education regarding balanced nutrition\nand healthy eating patterns.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in Palembang on Saturday, Deputy Head of the National\nNutrition Agency Sony Sanjaya stated that this policy has been\nimplemented as part of efforts to expand nutritional literacy amongst\nthe public and strengthen programme transparency at the regional\nlevel.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that social media has broad reach and is effective for\nconveying accurate, timely information that is easily understood by the\npublic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSPPG units throughout all regions are asked to actively utilise\ndigital platforms to provide continuous, data-driven education. For\nexample, today\u2019s free nutritious meals menu that will be distributed to\nschools should be made available so the public can know about it,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, social media utilisation should not be limited to\nactivity announcements, but must also include educational content such\nas balanced nutrition guidelines and the importance of protein\nconsumption.<\/p>\n<p>Such content is expected to be packaged creatively to appeal to\nvarious groups, including young people.<\/p>\n<p>Through optimisation of social media by SPPG units, the BGN hopes\nthat efforts to improve the nutritional status of society can proceed\nmore extensively and in an integrated manner. This policy also\nrepresents a strategic step in supporting the development of a healthy\nand high-quality human workforce.<\/p>",
