A total of 847 participants and officials from 12 provinces have\narrived in Central Java to participate in the 31st National Musabaqah\nTilawatil Qur\u2019an (MTQ). The Central Java Provincial Government has\nconfirmed that 13 competition venues, along with all supporting\nfacilities, are ready for use.<\/p>\n
The Vice Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen, stated that as\nof Thursday (10\/9) at 17:00 WIB, delegations from 12 provinces had\nreached the province. Participants will now undergo preparations before\nthe competitions officially commence.<\/p>\n
Taj Yasin shared this information while welcoming the Vice Governor\nof Southwest Papua, Ahmad Nausrau, at Tawang Station, Semarang, on\nThursday evening.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlhamdulillah, today we have received 8ly 847 participants and\nofficials entering Central Java, representing 12 provinces,\u201d said Taj\nYasin, who also serves as the Chairman of the Tilawatil Qur\u2019an\nDevelopment Institute (LPTQ) of Central Java.<\/p>\n
According to Taj Yasin, the Central Java Provincial Government has\nprepared various necessities for the delegations, ranging from\naccommodation, catering, and transport to security, health posts,\nambulances, medical personnel, and referral hospitals. Additionally, 15\nbuses have been prepared to support the mobility of the delegations,\njudges, committee members, and guests throughout the National MTQ.<\/p>\n
Thirteen venues have been prepared for the competitions and\nsupporting activities. Some of these are located in the Simpang Lima\narea, the Central Java Grand Mosque, the Baiturrahman Semarang Grand\nMosque, and the PRPP area.<\/p>\n
To ensure the needs of every delegation are met, the Central Java\nProvincial Government has also assigned one regional agency to accompany\neach province. For instance, the Southwest Papua delegation is being\nassisted by the Environmental and Forestry Service.<\/p>\n
\u201cEach agency is accompanying one province to host them and provide\ninformation regarding their needs during the MTQ,\u201d said Taj Yasin.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Vice Governor of Southwest Papua, Ahmad Nausrau,\nexpressed his appreciation for the welcome from the Central Java\nProvincial Government. He noted a special connection to Central Java as\nhis wife, Ida Priyanti Nausrau, hails from Cilacap.<\/p>\n
According to Ahmad, the National MTQ is not merely a competition but\nalso a momentum to strengthen Islamic brotherhood, national unity, and\ntogetherness between regions.<\/p>\n
Southwest Papua also plans to study the organisation of the National\nMTQ in Central Java as a reference for a potential future bid to host\nthe event. Raja Ampat is considered to have the potential to serve as a\nvenue and attract participants from various regions. If realised, the\nNational MTQ in Southwest Papua would be the first of its kind held in\nPapua.<\/p>\n
Ahmad stated that the Southwest Papua delegation arrived early so\nthat the qari and qariah (reciters) would have time to adapt and\nmaximise their practice.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor us, the important thing is participation. Winning or losing is\nsecondary. The priority is how the values of the Al-Qur\u2019an are\ninternalised and practised in the social life of the community,\u201d he\nconcluded.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Religious Affairs is also introducing the world\u2019s\nfirst exhibition of Al-Qur\u2019an recitation using sign language at the 31st\nNational MTQ in Semarang to promote inclusivity for the Deaf\ncommunity.<\/p>\n
