The Legislative Body of the House of Representatives (Baleg DPR), in\ncollaboration with the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia and\nthe Law Drafting Committee of the Regional Representative Council (DPD\nRI), conducted an evaluation of the second amendment to the 2026\nPriority Prolegnas during a working meeting on 15 April 2026. A\nsignificant point in this amendment is the Bill on Housing and\nResidential Areas (Omnibus Law), which has transitioned from a\ngovernment initiative to a House-led initiative within the third\namendment to the 2025\u20132029 Prolegnas.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Baleg has included four new bills as House initiatives\nin the second amendment to the 2026 Priority Prolegnas. These four bills\ninclude the Broadcasting Bill, the Curator Profession Bill, the Bill\namending Law Number 32 of 2009 on Environmental Protection and\nManagement, and the Bill on Housing and Residential Areas (Omnibus\nLaw).<\/p>\n
According to the Chairman of Baleg DPR, Bob Hasan, the Legislative\nBody also amended several bill titles, such as changing the Asset\nAuction Bill to the Auction Bill, and the Indigenous Legal Community\nBill to the Indigenous Community Bill. Additionally, two other bills\u2014the\nCivil Procedure Bill and the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances\nBill\u2014which were previously government initiatives, have now been changed\nto House initiatives in the second amendment to the 2026 Priority\nProlegnas.<\/p>\n
Bob Hasan emphasised that the evaluation of the 2026 Priority\nProlegnas did not discuss or include the list of open cumulative bills.\n\u201cBased on the agreement and considering the suggestions and input from\nthe working meeting between the DPR Legislative Body, the Ministry of\nLaw, and the DPD Law Drafting Committee, it was agreed that the number\nof priority bills in the second amendment to the 2026 Prolegnas is 68,\nand the third amendment to the 2025\u20132029 Prolegnas consists of 198\nbills,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
The House of Representatives officially approved the report from the\nLegislative Body regarding the evaluation of the second amendment to the\n2026 Priority Prolegnas.
