The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has officially closed the\nNational Internship Programme Batch I, which was participated in by\n16,112 individuals during the period from October 2025 to April 2026.\nThe programme\u2019s closure took place in Jakarta on Friday (24\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that the internship programme\nforms part of the strategy to strengthen national workforce\ncompetencies.<\/p>\n
According to him, the programme not only provides work experience but\nalso builds skill-based work readiness.<\/p>\n
Yassierli added that work experience without official recognition is\noften seen as a barrier. Therefore, Kemnaker facilitates competency\ntesting at Kemnaker training centres as well as Professional\nCertification Institutions (LSP) partnered with the National\nProfessional Certification Agency (BNSP).<\/p>\n
\u201cWe invite the participant siblings to take advantage of this\nopportunity. Competency certification is provided for free as\nrecognition of the skills you possess in the eyes of industry,\u201d said\nYassierli in a written statement received by Kompas.com.<\/p>\n
That collaboration will continue to be strengthened within a broader\npartnership scheme.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year, the focus is on providing work experience. Going forward,\nwe want not only work experience but also to ensure that participants\nhave competency certificates and greater opportunities to be absorbed by\nindustry,\u201d explained Yassierli.<\/p>\n
As a follow-up, Yassierli conveyed that Kemnaker continues to\nstrengthen the employment ecosystem through the development of the\nSiapKerja platform, including the KarirHub feature which provides job\nvacancy information from various sectors.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe continue to integrate SiapKerja with private portals so that all\njob vacancies, both domestic and international, can be consolidated in\none platform,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
On that occasion, Yassierli also shared the results of the evaluation\nof the National Internship Programme Batch I implementation.<\/p>\n
One finding from the evaluation is the need for equitable\ndistribution of the programme so that it is not concentrated on Java\nIsland but reaches all regions of Indonesia.<\/p>\n
The internship programme is also expected to be expanded to be open\nto various academic backgrounds, not limited to specific majors.<\/p>\n
