        "content": "<p>National Children's Day<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Some 4,000 children and 400 chaperons are<br>\nexpected to attend a ceremony to commemorate National Children's<br>\nDay on Sunday at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, East Jakarta,<br>\norganizers said.<\/p>\n<p>The organizing committee's chairman, Rusli Wolfman, said in a<br>\nwritten statement: \"The venue of the ceremony was earlier<br>\nscheduled to be the State Palace.\"<\/p>\n<p>Rusli gave no explanation for the change of venue.<\/p>\n<p>\"The ceremony is intended to arouse the spirit of children and<br>\nyouths to pursue their education and also to encourage them to<br>\nhave a better mentality and personality,\" he added.<\/p>\n<p>Rusli said the celebration has been highlighted by various<br>\nactivities during July aimed at children, such as sports<br>\ntournaments and visiting less-fortunate children.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have presented, for example, school equipment and staple<br>\nfoodstuffs to 200 children on July 15. We also organized a trip<br>\nto Carita marine resort, West Java, for 200 children on July 13<br>\nand 14,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>\"We will also organize ceremonies at mayoralty level.
