Bodies and wing organisations of the Gerindra Party held a National\nBrotherhood gathering and breaking-of-fast event with the theme\n\u201cNational Unity as the Foundation of National Integrity\u201d at the\nSecretariat of the Gerindra Central Board (GEKIRA), Central Jakarta, on\nFriday, 13 March. The event served as a space for togetherness to\nstrengthen tolerance, harmony, and commitment to safeguarding national\nunity.<\/p>\n
The gathering was attended by representatives from various Gerindra\nwing organisations, including TIDAR, PIRA, the Gerindra Advocacy\nInstitute, Gemashadana, Pepera, Satria, Kesira, PPIR, and Gemira. The\npresence of these various organisational elements reflected the spirit\nof togetherness and solidarity in upholding national values.<\/p>\n
Nikson Silalahi, Chairman of the Gerindra Central Board, emphasised\nthat the nation\u2019s current challenges stemmed not only from economic and\ngeopolitical issues, but also from the prevalence of disinformation,\nslander, and hate speech in the public sphere.<\/p>\n
\u201cDisinformation, slander, and hate speech remain rampant in society.\nOur task is to counter all of this through civilised and democratic\nmeans,\u201d Nikson stated.<\/p>\n
He also stressed that various programmes implemented by the Prabowo\nSubianto administration, such as the Free Nutritious Meals Programme,\nVillage Cooperatives, Community Schools, and Indonesia\u2019s involvement in\nvarious global peace initiatives, represented strategic steps to protect\nnational interests amid an uncertain global situation.<\/p>\n
According to Nikson, President Prabowo\u2019s leadership consistently\nplaced national interests above personal, party, or group interests.<\/p>\n
\u201cPresident Prabowo always prioritises national interests above\npersonal, party, and group interests. Therefore, our togetherness today,\ntogether with Gerindra\u2019s bodies and wing organisations, represents a\nconcrete manifestation of tolerance in national and state life,\u201d he\nexplained.<\/p>\n
In line with Nikson, Yeremias Ndoen, Secretary General of the\nGerindra Central Board, affirmed that the Gerindra Party and Government\nare not opposed to criticism, but rather disinformation and hate speech\npose risks to national and state life.<\/p>\n
\u201cTherefore, we are present to correct false information and invite\nthe Indonesian nation to unite and trust in the efforts being undertaken\nby the Prabowo administration,\u201d said Yeremias.<\/p>\n
Religious guidance on national matters was delivered by KH Misbahul\nMunir Cholil. He emphasised that the Indonesian nation requires both\nprosperity and security, which form the foundation of community\nlife.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis nation needs food and needs security, and this is what\nPresident Prabowo is doing. Therefore, we must support and socialise\nthese programmes to the public so that they are truly understood by our\npeople,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
He also regarded the togetherness of various organisations at the\nevent as a symbol of harmony reflecting the spirit of Indonesian\ndiversity.<\/p>\n
