Nadya best presenter in ATV Awards<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): MTV veejay Nadya Hutagalung walked off with the
\nhonors as best light entertainment presenter at the 1997 Asian
\nTelevision Awards in Singapore Tuesday.<\/p>\n
She sidestepped last year's winner, Diana Ser of Television
\nCorporation of Singapore, and Channel V's Trey Farley from Hong
\nKong.<\/p>\n
Nadya hosts MTV Most Wanted, broadcast weekdays at 1:30 p.m.
\non MTV Asia. She has also graced magazine covers in Singapore,
\nIndonesia, Thailand, Japan and the U.K. in a 10-year modeling
\ncareer.<\/p>\n
The daughter of an Indonesian father and Australian mother
\nspends her free time surfing the net and diving.<\/p>\n
Several Indonesian nominees took home awards.<\/p>\n
ANteve's Majalah Olahraga was named best sports program.
\nRCTI's music show, Dua Warna, and SCTV's children's program,
\nKrucil, were runners-up in their categories.<\/p>\n
The awards are an annual nonprofit event organized by the
\nSingapore-based Television Asia magazine. There are three
\nnominees in each of the 23 categories. A full listing of winners
