Previously, the chief judge Purwanto S. Abdullah stated after a\nhearing last week that the panel of judges would deliberate and aimed to\ndeliver the verdict on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, citing the need for time\nto compile the decision due to his own health issues.<\/p>\n
In this case, public prosecutors from the Attorney General\u2019s Office\nhave demanded the panel of judges sentence Nadiem to 18 years in prison\nand a fine of Rp1 billion, subsidiary to 190 days of imprisonment. The\nformer Minister of Education and Culture under President Jokowi is also\nrequired to pay restitution of Rp809,597,125,000 and\nRp4,871,469,603,758, which represents assets disproportionate to his\nlegitimate income or suspected to originate from corruption. According to the prosecutors, legal facts revealed during the trial\nproved Nadiem caused state financial losses in the Chromebook and CDM\nprocurement.
