        "content": "<p>Myanmar road threatens Thais<\/p>\n<p>BANGKOK (AFP): A road being built inside the Myanmar border<br>\nwill facilitate drug trafficking and Myanmar troop movements and<br>\nposes a major security threat to Thailand, an army chief said in<br>\na report on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Thai military sources say Myanmar's government has given the<br>\nethnic United Wa State Army (UWSA) the go-ahead to build the road<br>\nand move into territory held by the rival Shan State Army (SSA).<\/p>\n<p>The junta is using the feared \"Red Wa\" fighters in their<br>\ncampaign against the Shan, one of the few armed factions left in<br>\nMyanmar that has yet to sign a ceasefire with the government,<br>\nthey say.<\/p>\n<p>Lt. Gen.
