Jakarta (ANTARA) - The MV Doulos Hope, which is currently docked at\nTanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, carrying 2,000 books, has delayed the\noperational schedule of its floating library due to licensing\nconstraints.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe public opening, originally scheduled for Wednesday (16\/9), must\nbe postponed as we are still awaiting the completion of final\nadministrative processes,\u201d said Trizenia September, Executive Director\nof Duluos Hope from South Africa, in Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n
She stated that the book exhibition on board the ship can only open\nto the public once the entire administrative process is complete. \u201cThe\nlatest opening date will be announced in the near future,\u201d Trizenia\nadded.<\/p>\n
Once officially opened, visitors will be able to enjoy a reading\nexperience while exploring the book collection on board. \u201cWith a wide\nvariety of options, all family members can find interesting books to\nenjoy,\u201d said Trizenia.<\/p>\n
According to her, the MV Doulos Hope is scheduled to remain at\nTanjung Priok Port until 11 October 2026. However, the opening date of\nthe library remains dependent on the completion of all official\npermits.<\/p>\n
Latest information regarding the opening schedule and tickets will be\nshared via the official Doulos Hope Indonesia social media accounts. \u201cWe\nhope this visit can bring spirit and hope to the people of Jakarta. Furthermore, she mentioned that to visit the ship, members of the\npublic must first undergo a check-in process at the North Jakarta Youth\nArena (GRJU). Visitors will then use a provided shuttle bus service to\nreach the ship\u2019s location within the Tanjung Priok Port area.<\/p>\n
\u201cVisiting services are open from Tuesday to Sunday, between 13:30 and\n21:00 WIB. Visitors must enter the location no later than 20:30 WIB.\nMeanwhile, the service is closed every Monday,\u201d Trizenia explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cChildren must be accompanied by adults and adhere to the applicable\nticketing regulations,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Deputy Mayor of North Jakarta, Fredy Setiawan, stated\nthat the presence of the ship provides an opportunity for the community\nto gain new knowledge and experiences through books.
