        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 MPR (People\u2019s Consultative Assembly) Chairman Ahmad Muzani\nhas disclosed the wish of the late 6th Vice President of the Republic of\nIndonesia, Try Sutrisno, before his passing. According to Muzani, the\ndeceased Try Sutrisno desired a fifth amendment to the 1945\nConstitution.<\/p>\n<p>Muzani made this statement after paying respects and leading prayers\nfor the late Try Sutrisno at the Sunda Kelapa Grand Mosque in Central\nJakarta on Monday, 2 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeyond that, he once spoke to us during last year\u2019s Eid\ncelebrations. He wanted, before he passed away, for there to be a fifth\namendment to the 1945 Constitution,\u201d Muzani told journalists.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd he wished for this to be carried out before he departed this\nlife. I took careful note of this message and mandate from him to us as\nleaders of the MPR at that time,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The MPR, according to Muzani, is making efforts to realise Try\nSutrisno\u2019s wish.
