Music based on Sapardi's poems at TIM<\/p>\n
There are several ways for people to enjoy or appreciate the
\npoems they love: one way is read them; another is to turn them
\ninto song lyrics.<\/p>\n
Several fans of Indonesia's well-known poet Sapardi Djoko
\nDamono have done something different: They have made musical
\ncompositions based on his most famous poem titled Hujan Bulan
\nJuni (Rain in June). They will stage their compositions in Graha
\nBakti Budaya at Ismail Marzuki Art Center (TIM) for two days
\nperformance starting on July 20.<\/p>\n
The musicians, Reda Gaudiamo, Tantyana Soebianto, Jubing
\nKristianto, M. Umar Muslim and Bambang Dipuro, will play the
\ncompositions that have recorded on two albums \"Hujan Bulan Juni\"
\n(1990) and \"Hujan dalam Komposisi\" (Rain in Composition) (1996).<\/p>\n
The entrance fees for the performance, which is being
\norganized by TIM in cooperation with the Indonesian Artists'
\nCooperative, are Rp 20,000 for the 1 p.m. show, and Rp 25,000 and
\nRp 30,000 for the 8 p.m. performance.<\/p>\n
