WASHINGTON (Reuters): Anti-globalization protesters may have
\nwon a hollow victory by forcing a shorter IMF annual meeting,
\nleaving precious little time to work on problems facing the
\nworld's poorest people.<\/p>\n
Protesters have criticized the International Monetary Fund and
\nWorld Bank as undemocratic bodies that formulate ill-suited
\nausterity plans for poor nations behind closed doors. But the
\nlenders counter that they reduce poverty by promoting stronger
