Murder suspects not helping probe<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): City police detectives admitted over the weekend
\nthey have made no significant progress following further
\nquestioning of two suspects believed to be involved in the murder
\nof entertainment businessman Nyo Beng Seng.<\/p>\n
"So far, we have not gotten any valuable information from
\neither of them," a police officer close to the investigation told
\nThe Jakarta Post Saturday evening.<\/p>\n
Although police have not been able to get information from the
\ntwo suspects as to who the ring leader and accomplices are, or a
\nmotive for the murder, questioning would not be stopped, said the
\nofficer, who asked for anonymity.<\/p>\n
"The two are still detained at our office for further
\nquestioning and investigation," he said.<\/p>\n
The two suspects, identified as Sudartono, 40, and Agiono, 36,
\nwere arrested by two plain-clothes detectives just after
\ndisembarking from a Singapore flight at the Soekarno-Hatta
\nInternational Airport Thursday evening.<\/p>\n
Police arrested them on suspicion of drug possession.<\/p>\n
So far, the two suspects have only admitted that they were
\nhired by someone to guard the site of the planned murder in order
\nto facilitate the plan of the murder.<\/p>\n
Police strongly believe the main plotter of the murder, along
\nwith two accomplices are staying overseas.<\/p>\n
Beng Seng, alias Darmansyah Suyadi, 57, was savagely stabbed
\nto death 12 times in the middle of the night on April 15 this
\nyear in front of his second wife's house on Jl. Pluit Kencana
\nRaya 128 in North Jakarta.<\/p>\n
According to the victim's driver, Saman, 45, the key witness
\nof the killing, the murder was committed by at least four masked
\nmen armed with Samurai weapons.<\/p>\n
Newly-installed city police spokesman Lt. Col. Bambang Haryoko
\nrefused to officially comment about the case.<\/p>\n
"I've tried, but failed, to contact all officers at the Crime
\nInvestigation Directorate for official statements about the
\ncase," he said.<\/p>\n
The decision of the two detained suspects to keep silent could
\nhamper police's hard work in solving the brutal killing
