        "content": "<p>Murder suspect denied bail<\/p>\n<p>SINGAPORE (Reuter): A Singapore Airlines steward suspected of<br>\nmurdering a flight attendant in Los Angeles was denied bail<br>\nyesterday pending extradition proceedings, his lawyer said.<\/p>\n<p>Zaini Jeloni, 27, is a suspect in the murder of Singapore<br>\nAirlines stewardess Chang Yu, 23.<\/p>\n<p>\"Bail has been denied on the basis that he is facing a charge<br>\nof first-degree murder,\" lawyer Joseph Chellappan said.<\/p>\n<p>Chellappan said his client was due to appear in court again on<br>\nNov. 28. He said Zaini would plead not guilty but had not decided<br>\nwhether to challenge extradition by the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Zaini, who was being held in maximum-security Queenstown<br>\nprison, was arrested by Singapore police on Monday after they<br>\nreceived a warrant from the Los Angeles Police Department.<\/p>",
