MT passed away after receiving intensive treatment at\nKarangasem Regional General Hospital (RSUD) due to a brain\ninfection.<\/p>\n<p>The public relations officer of Karangasem Class IIB Prison, I Made\nAdi Aryastawan, explained that MT died at RSUD Karangasem, not inside\nthe prison. He said that, based on the results of a CT scan, there was\nan abscess or fluid in MT\u2019s brain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe individual concerned passed away yesterday morning at RSUD\nKarangasem, and his body was handed over to his family on the same day,\u201d\nAdi said on Monday (7\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Adi explained that MT had entered Karangasem Prison around a year ago\nafter being sentenced to 15 years in a murder case. He initially served\nhis sentence at Gianyar Detention Centre before eventually being\ntransferred to Karangasem Class IIB Prison.<\/p>\n<p>When he first entered Karangasem Prison, MT claimed to have no\nhistory of illness. However, since mid-August 2026, he had visited the\nclinic several times complaining of headaches and was immediately given\nmedication.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday (3\/9\/2026), MT returned to the clinic with severe\nheadaches and was eventually referred to RSUD Karangasem. During his\nexamination at the hospital, MT suffered repeated vomiting and a decline\nin consciousness before eventually being declared dead.<\/p>",
