Police have officially elevated the status of the murder case of\nAgrapinus Rumatora, alias Nus Kei, Chairman of the DPD Golkar Southeast\nMaluku, to the investigation stage. Police have sent the Notification of\nthe Commencement of Investigation (SPDP) to the Southeast Maluku\nDistrict Prosecutor\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe SPDP has been submitted to the Southeast Maluku District\nProsecutor\u2019s Office as an official notification that the investigation\nis underway. This is a mandatory legal mechanism in handling every\ncriminal case,\u201d said the Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Regional\nPolice, Commissioner Pol Rositah Umasugi, when contacted on Thursday\n(23\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
The case under investigation is premeditated murder. The two\nperpetrators, named Hendrikus Rahayaan (28) and Finansius Ulukyanan\n(36), have been detained after being designated as suspects.<\/p>\n
They are charged under Article 459 of the Criminal Code with a\npotential death penalty, life imprisonment, or a maximum of 20 years in\nprison. They are also charged under Article 458 of the Criminal Code\nwith a maximum prison sentence of 15 years.<\/p>\n
Rositah stated that the submission of the SPDP to the prosecutor\u2019s\noffice serves as the basis for coordination on prosecution and oversight\nof the case file until the trial stage. She emphasised that all stages\nare conducted professionally, transparently, and in accordance with\nlegal provisions.<\/p>\n
The police have also assured that the public order and security\nsituation in Southeast Maluku remains conducive. Police urge the public\nnot to be provoked and to fully entrust the legal process to the\nauthorities.<\/p>\n
Previously reported, the incident occurred at Karel Sadsuitubun Ibra\nAirport, Kei Kecil Subdistrict, on Sunday (19\/4) around 11:25 WIT. At\nthat time, Nus Kei had just landed after an air journey from\nJakarta.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe occurrence of a stabbing criminal act that resulted in the death\nof the Chairman of the DPC Golkar Party of Southeast Maluku Regency,\nAgrapinus Rumatora alias Nus Kei,\u201d said Commissioner Rositah Umasugi to\ndetikcom.<\/p>\n
The victim was then evacuated to Karel Sadsuitubun Hospital around\n12:00 WIT. The victim received medical treatment before being declared\ndead.<\/p>\n
Perpetrators Admit Revenge<\/p>\n
Police arrested two men with initials HR (28) and FU (36) who stabbed\nAgrapinus Rumatora alias Nus Kei, Chairman of DPD II of the Golkar Party\nSoutheast Maluku, at Karel Sadsuitubun Ibra Airport, Southeast Maluku.\nThe two perpetrators admitted to seeking revenge because Nus Kei was the\nmastermind behind the murder of their brother in Bekasi.<\/p>\n
\u201cBased on the perpetrators\u2019 confession, the motive was revenge,\u201d said\nthe Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Regional Police, Commissioner\nRositah Umasugi, to reporters on Monday (20\/4).<\/p>\n
Umasugi said the two perpetrators sought revenge because they accused\nNus Kei of being the mastermind behind the murder of their brother named\nFenansius Wadanubun, which occurred in 2020 in Kalimalang, Bekasi.<\/p>\n
