Munir's death<\/p>\n
The autopsy report on Munir leaves me feeling angry and sad.
\nIf Munir was murdered then the government should leave no stone
\nunturned to bring the perpetrator to justice.<\/p>\n
Munir was a truly good man who understood that money, power
\nand position are but transient things that come and go and that
\nthe true value of a man lies in his courage, his generosity and
\ncompassion, his dedication and loyalty to an ideal, the
\nsacrifices that he makes and the love that he gives and receives
\nfrom people.<\/p>\n
I have heard that Munir once wrote a very beautiful piece on
\nlove. It would be very fitting if The Jakarta Post could have it
\ntranslated and publish it and it would be even more fitting if
\nthe President were to give Munir a Mahaputra (first class) award
\nand his wife a decent pension.<\/p>\n
Surely that is the very least that our country can do for a
\nman who was a true hero and who it would appear has given up his
\nvery life to make this a more just and safe society.<\/p>\n
As for Garuda, well things really seem to be going from bad
\nto worse. I mean what can one say? Until this matter is
\nsatisfactorily cleared up should we all bring our own rantang
\n(food kept in a special container) when flying Garuda? And by the
\nway, should we exhume Baharudin Lopa and do an autopsy on him
\ntoo?<\/p>\n
