        "content": "<p>Municipality gears up for floods<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The Central Jakarta municipality has made<br>\npreparations to assist residents of 10 flood-prone areas during<br>\nthis year's rainy season.<\/p>\n<p>Central Jakarta Mayor Muhayat said on Wednesday his<br>\nadministration had prepared temporary shelters, public kitchens<br>\nand rubber boats to help flood victims trapped in their houses.<\/p>\n<p>The subdistricts in Central Jakarta most at risk of flooding<br>\nare Jati Pinggir, Pejompongan, Kali Pasir, Serdang, Matraman<br>\nDalam, Karang Anyer, Gunung Sahari, Cempaka Putih, Duri Pulo and<br>\nKebon Kacang.<\/p>\n<p>He said his administration and relevant agencies were also<br>\ndredging rivers, repairing drains, preparing portable water pumps<br>\nand monitoring the condition of floodgates in an effort to<br>\nprevent flooding.<\/p>\n<p>The Central Jakarta administration will also hold a drill in<br>\nJati Pinggir subdistrict, which is historically badly affected by<br>\nflooding during the rainy season. --Tempointeraktif.com<\/p>",
