Multiple murderer arrested<\/p>\n
SURABAYA: Police have arrested a 25-year-old man suspected of
\nmurdering an entire family on Jl. Jojoran on Feb. 16, Antara
\nreported yesterday.<\/p>\n
The suspect, identified by his initials Sg, is a Surabaya
\nrickshaw driver, Surabaya Police Chief Col. Rivai W said.<\/p>\n
He said the premeditated murder was motivated by the suspect
\nbeing hard pressed to raise Rp 200,000 ($87) to pay for a
\nrickshaw he had lost.<\/p>\n
The victims were 44-year-old Sukarjo, an employee at Airlangga
\nUniversity, his wife Hari Ningsih (34) and his sons Eko (16) and
\nDanang (12).<\/p>\n
The suspect found Danang alone at the house. He beat the boy
\nto death with a plank, and then killed Eko when she came home. He
\nkilled the children's mother and father separately.<\/p>\n
The suspect buried his victims in the backyard and covered the
\nsurface with cement. He made off with Rp 250,000 in cash and a
\nmotorcycle.<\/p>\n
The Feb. 16 murder was uncovered a few days ago when a
\nrelative, who had tried to visit the house several times, broke
\nthe door down and eventually found the bodies.<\/p>\n
The report did not say how the police found the suspect. Rivai
