Multimedia seminar in Bali<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A seminar on the readiness of the multimedia
\ninfrastructure to combat piracy in Indonesia is slated to be held
\nat the Bali International Convention Center, Nusa Dua, Bali on
\nDec. 14 and Dec. 15.<\/p>\n
The seminar, intended to be of interest to anyone who is
\nconcerned with multimedia, music, video, entertainment, software
\nand telecommunications, is being organized by PT Lasindo
\nMultimedia 2000.<\/p>\n
Santosa, Lasindo managing director, said here on Friday that
\nthe seminar, entitled The Net @ Anti-Piracy 2000 would be a
\nforerunner for the MIDEM Asia 2001 conference scheduled to take
\nplace in Bali next June.<\/p>\n
MIDEM (Marche International du Disque, de L'Edition Musicale
\net de la Video Musique) is an integrated industrial organization
\ndealing with music, video, entertainment, software and multimedia
\nand is based in Paris.<\/p>\n
The seminar is scheduled to be opened by Speaker of the
\nPeople's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Amien Rais, and the keynote
\nspeakers will include Minister of Communications and
\nTelecommunications Agum Gumelar and Minister of Industry and
\nTrade Luhut B. Panjaitan.<\/p>\n
Edward P. Murphy, a multimedia expert from the National Music
\nPublishers Association in America would also attend the two-day
\nseminar, Santosa said.<\/p>\n
