        "content": "<p>Mujib named acting presidential secretary<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): President Abdurrahman Wahid named Mujib Manan as<br>\nacting presidential secretary to replace his ailing former<br>\nsecretary, Djoko Mulyono, a senior aide said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>State Secretary Djohan Effendy announced that Mujib was chosen<br>\nas acting presidential secretary shortly before the President<br>\nleft for a 10-day trip to four South American countries and<br>\nCanada late last month.<\/p>\n<p>Djohan did not explain, however, who Mujib was or why he had<br>\nbeen chosen for the job. He only said that Djohan was from the<br>\nEast Java capital of Surabaya.<\/p>\n<p>Mujib is the third presidential secretary in one year as Djoko<br>\nwas sworn in April to replace former journalist Ratih Hardjono.<\/p>\n<p>Ratih, who resigned on April 1, said at that time that she was<br>\ngetting married and wanted to concentrate on her new family.<\/p>\n<p>Ratih married Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) executive Fajrul Falakh<br>\nrecently in Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n<p>The President currently has four official secretaries --<br>\nCabinet Secretary Marsilam Simanjuntak, Military Secretary Rear<br>\nMarshal Budhy Santoso, Presidential Secretary Mujib and State<br>\nSecretary Djohan Effendy -- to assist him in his daily<br>\nactivities.(byg)<\/p>",
