The incident has sparked allegations of bullying by older\nstudents, though the school administration claims the injury was an\naccident.<\/p>\n<p>According to the victim\u2019s cousin, Sahlatina, the incident occurred\nduring the School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS) on 27 July. She\nalleges that three ninth-grade students assaulted AF, striking him in\nthe head and dragging him into a bathroom. The attackers reportedly\ndoused him with water and prevented him from leaving, forcing the\nstudent to climb a metal fence to escape. During the attempt to climb,\nhis hand became trapped in the fence, leading to the amputation of two\nfingers.<\/p>\n<p>The victim\u2019s family initially hesitated to speak out due to fear, but\nafter receiving medical treatment, they decided to report the case to\nthe police to ensure the perpetrators are held accountable. The family\nhas rejected mediation attempts by the school.<\/p>\n<p>Conversely, the Headmaster of MTs Islam Wangunrejo, Safi\u2019i, denied\nthe bullying allegations, asserting that the incident was purely\naccidental.
