Merapi climbers found<\/p>\n<p>PADANG, West Sumatra: After nearly a one-week search, rescue<br>\nworkers discovered on Monday all 12 young mountain climbers who<br>\nhad been missing on Mount Merapi for 10 days.<\/p>\n<p>A rescue team member, Sony, told The Jakarta Post on Monday<br>\nhis squad evacuated three of the surviving students shortly after<br>\nmidnight. The survivors, identified as Jasarmen, Elza and Hendra,<br>\nwere then rushed to Bukittinggi Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Sony said evacuation of the remaining nine youths was<br>\nunderway.<\/p>\n<p>But head of the local search and rescue board Yal Effendi<br>\nrefused to speculate about possible deaths. He said the condition<br>\nof three of the nine climbers left on the volcano was<br>\n\"uncertain\".<\/p>\n<p>A rescue worker confirmed on Sunday that two of the climbers,<br>\nidentified as Ryan and Wati, both students of Batusangkar state<br>\nhigh school, were found dead.<\/p>\n<p>Effendi said evacuation would take time due to the difficult<br>\nterrain and climate.<\/p>\n<p>Local police chief Lt.
