        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo stated that\nthe progress of the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A construction, namely from\nBundaran HI to Kota Tua, has now reached 59.7%.\u201dIf viewed overall, the\nprogress is now at 59.7%,\u201d Pramono said at City Hall in Jakarta on\nTuesday.After inspecting the project with Vice President Gibran\nRakabuming Raka, Pramono explained that the MRT Phase 2A project is\ntargeted to enter the commissioning or trial phase in mid-2027.After\nthat, the MRT route is targeted to begin operations up to Harmoni at the\nlatest by the end of 2027.Meanwhile, Pramono said the MRT line up to\nKota Tua is targeted for completion by the end of 2029.\u201dOnce this main\nroute from North to South spanning 22.2 kilometres is finished, it will\nbe fully completed in 2029,\u201d Pramono stated.In addition to continuing\nthe North-South MRT project, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is\nalso working on the East-West MRT project.Pramono hopes that the first\nsegment of the East-West MRT can be enjoyed by the public in 2030 if all\nprocesses run smoothly.During the inspection, he also highlighted the\nconstruction of stations in the Sawah Besar and Mangga Besar areas,\nwhich are the deepest construction points, reaching approximately 28\nmetres underground.\u201dBecause those in Sawah Besar and Mangga Besar are\nthe deepest stations, about 28 metres down, the construction work is\nnaturally more extensive compared to other areas,\u201d Pramono remarked.He\nalso appreciated the thousands of workers involved in the project, all\nof whom are Indonesian labourers.\u201dWhat is encouraging is that the 3,800\npeople working there are all Indonesians.
