        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The multifunctional space (extended concourse) at\nBundaran HI MRT Station will connect Plaza Indonesia to Hotel Indonesia\nKempinski to improve access for users.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe multi-interconnection will in future provide connections to the\nHotel Indonesia Kempinski area, then Grand Indonesia, and also\nMandarin,\u201d said Yulham Ferdiansyah Roestam, President Director of PT\nIntegrasi Transit Jakarta, during an inspection of the multifunctional\nspace at Bundaran HI MRT Station in Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>He said the multifunctional space will feature two access points:\nMuara 1, connecting to the western side (Plaza Indonesia and in front of\nthe Hyatt Hotel), and Muara 2, connecting to the eastern side (Pullman\nHotel and Wisma Nusantara).<\/p>\n<p>The multi-interconnection space is approximately 300 metres long,\nwith a total area of 4,200 square metres.<\/p>\n<p>The company is also preparing a knockdown panel project\n(pre-demolished walls) for future connections to Hotel Indonesia\nKempinski, Grand Indonesia, and Mandarin Oriental. However, the design\nfor these connections is still being finalised together with the DKI\nJakarta Provincial Government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor Kempinski and Mandarin, the future connection design is\ncurrently in the finalisation stage. But our current focus is on\nproviding the new access points in the western area, in front of the\nHyatt, and in the eastern area, in front of the Pullman,\u201d Yulham\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>The multifunctional space at Bundaran HI MRT Station is a\nfree-of-charge public area (non-tapping area) designed as a\nmultifunctional space for event activations, with a capacity of around\n3,200 people.<\/p>\n<p>PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) said construction of the multifunctional\nspace has now reached 22 per cent completion.<\/p>\n<p>The project is expected to become a new zone that further enlivens\nthe transit-oriented development (TOD) area around Bundaran HI.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the project is expected to improve comfort for public\ntransport users while strengthening connectivity in Jakarta\u2019s central\nbusiness district.<\/p>\n<p>The project, led by PT Integrasi Transit Jakarta and valued at\nRp148.2 billion, is targeted for completion in June 2027, coinciding\nwith the 500th anniversary of the city of Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Bundaran HI Station, which reaches a depth of 18 metres below ground\nlevel, is one of the busiest stations on Phase 1 of the north-south\nline, with an average of around 450,000 to 500,000 customers each\nmonth.<\/p>\n<p>That figure is predicted to continue rising once Phase 2A of the\nnorth-south line, Segment 1 (Bundaran HI to Monas), begins operating in\n2027.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of the multifunctional space and new entrance is\nalso part of operational preparations for Phase 2A, Segment 2 through to\nKota, which is targeted for 2029.<\/p>",
