        "content": "<p>Cirebon, West Java \u2014 A member of Commission VIII of the Indonesian\nHouse of Representatives, Selly Andriany Gantina, together with the Hajj\nFinancial Management Agency (BPKH), provided the public in Cirebon with\nan explanation of the management and transparency of the Hajj funds\nthrough the dissemination of Law No.\u00a034 of 2014. \u2018We, together with\nBPKH, conducted activities in Cirebon to disseminate Law No.\u00a034 of 2014,\nand to promote transparency in hajj fund management to the audience,\u2019\nshe said in Cirebon on Wednesday. The activity, she added, aimed to\nincrease financial literacy in Cirebon regarding hajj governance so that\nit is more open and accountable. Selly noted that information openness\nis key to building the trust of pilgrims in the management of Hajj funds\nby the relevant institutions. She hopes that through the forum, BPKH can\nanswer public questions to the fullest so that there is no doubt about\nthe mechanisms of hajj fund management. In addition, she stressed that\ninput from participants will serve as a basis for evaluation by\nCommission VIII of the DPR and BPKH to improve policies in the future.\nFurthermore, she said, strengthening public understanding is part of the\ngovernment\u2019s efforts to build a Hajj economic ecosystem being developed\nby the government. \u2018The reforms to be implemented will truly provide\nbetter services in the administration of the Hajj body,\u2019 she said. She\nexplained that BPKH is developing regulatory strengthening to enlarge\nits capacity to manage the hajj funds, without reducing the principles\nof transparency and sound governance. \u2018We are developing laws that will\nfurther strengthen our capacity in the context of management, without\nreducing transparency and our ability to create greater value for the\nHajj pilgrims,\u2019 she said. BPKH is committed to optimising the\ndevelopment of the Hajj funds to support improvements in operational\nHajj services in the current year and the coming year.<\/p>",
