        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Speaker of the MPR, Ahmad Muzani, has invited\nthe public to offer prayers for the safety of five journalists and three\ncrew members who have lost contact in the waters of the Sunda Strait,\nPandeglang Regency, Banten, while reporting on the volcanic activity of\nMount Anak Krakatau.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe MPR RI invites all Indonesian people to pray so that the five\nindividuals can be found safe and sound without any harm,\u201d Muzani stated\nin a statement received in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed deep concern regarding the incident, praying that the\nsearch patrols conducted by the joint team of the National Search and\nRescue Agency (BASARNAS) and volunteers would yield results as soon as\npossible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo the families who are waiting for news until this day, may Allah\nSWT grant them fortitude,\u201d said Muzani.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the Banten SAR Office, Al Amrad, in Pandeglang, stated on\nThursday that the search operation on the southern side has fully\ncovered a radius of approximately 20 nautical miles from the centre of\nMount Anak Krakatau.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, on Thursday, the joint SAR team planned to expand the\nsearch area to the northern side while remaining around the Mount Anak\nKrakatau area. This expansion is being adjusted based on calculations of\ncurrents, wave shifts, and wind direction.<\/p>\n<p>His office will also continue to add personnel and vessels, following\nan evaluation conducted on Wednesday (9\/9).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ongoing operation is focused on searching, considering that the\nterrain conditions do not allow for direct rescue evacuations,\u201d said\nAmrad.<\/p>\n<p>Five journalists along with three ship crew members were reported to\nhave lost contact in the Sunda Strait waters on Monday (7\/9).<\/p>\n<p>The five journalists are M. Bagus Khoirunnas (ANTARA News Banten\nBureau), Ari Basuki (Merdeka), Yudhis (iNews), Daus (Anadolu News\nAgency), and Donal (freelance journalist).<\/p>",
