Beijing (ANTARA) - The Speaker of the People\u2019s Consultative Assembly\n(MPR), Ahmad Muzani, met with the Chairman of the Chinese People\u2019s\nPolitical Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wang Huning, in Beijing on\nMonday.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wish to convey greetings from President Prabowo Subianto to CPPCC\nChairman Wang Huning. The relationship between Indonesia and China is\nmutually supportive across various sectors,\u201d said Ahmad Muzlamni during\nthe meeting at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Monday\nafternoon.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, Ahmad Muzani was accompanied by MPR Deputy\nSpeakers Lestari Moerdijat from the NasDem Party faction and Rusdi\nKirana from the National Awakening Party (PKB) faction.<\/p>\n
This visit serves as a reciprocal visit following Wang Huning\u2019s visit\nto Jakarta in December 2025.<\/p>\n
\u201cChina is willing to work alongside Indonesia in following the\nstrategic directions of both heads of state to continue driving the\nachievement of new agreements within the friendship of our two nations,\u201d\nsaid Wang Huning.<\/p>\n
Wang Huning also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome\nprovided by the Indonesian government during his visit to Jakarta.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe abundance of bilateral activities between our two countries\ndemonstrates that our relationship is becoming increasingly robust and\nmutually driving the achievement of our respective national interests,\u201d\nadded Wang Huning.<\/p>\n
Wang Huning emphasised that the CPPCC is prepared to maintain close\ninteraction with the MPR, expand exchanges and cooperation, deepen\ndiscussions regarding state governance and administration, and better\nsupport the development and resurgence of both nations.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Ahmad Muzani stated that Indonesia and China mutually\nsupport each other\u2019s respective government policies.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndonesia and China both uphold our respective sovereignty and\nnational interests, as well as maintain regional peace and security,\nbecause peace also supports economic activities that lead to the welfare\nof the people,\u201d Muzani added.<\/p>\n
On Sunday (20\/9), Muzani also met with the Chairman of the National\nPeople\u2019s Congress (NPC), Zhao Leji, which is China\u2019s legislative body.\nThis meeting also took place at the Great Hall of the People in\nChina.<\/p>\n
Wang Huning previously visited Indonesia in December 2025 and met\nwith President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on\n4 December 2025.<\/p>\n
During that visit, Wang stated that since diplomatic relations were\nestablished 75 years ago, China-Indonesia relations have developed\nrapidly, and both countries wish to strengthen cooperation across\nvarious fields.<\/p>\n
During his visit to Jakarta, Wang Huning also met with the Speaker of\nthe MPR Ahmad Muzani, the Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR)\nPuan Maharani, and the Speaker of the Regional Representative Council\n(DPD) Sultan B. Najamudin at the Parliament Complex on Wednesday\n(3\/12).<\/p>\n
The CPPCC is a political advisory body that gathers aspirations and\nrecommendations from the public in China.<\/p>\n
