The People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) is conducting periodic
evaluations and improvements of its service standards by involving the
public to enhance the quality of public services, ensuring they are
transparent, easily accessible, and tailored to user needs. Head of the
Public Relations and Information Systems Bureau at MPR RI, Budi
Muliawan, stated that the evaluation covers institutional visit services
and public data and information services managed by the Information and
Documentation Management Officer (PPID). “We request as much input as
possible from resource persons and participants. We believe every
suggestion aims for improvement so that our future services will be
better, more targeted, transparent, and beneficial to the public,” Budi
said during the MPR RI Public Consultation Forum in Tangerang City,
Banten, on Thursday. According to Budi, service standards are designed
to ensure public services are measurable, accountable, have procedural
certainty, and are easily accessible to the public. Evaluations are
conducted at least once a year to adapt to evolving public needs. Once a
request is approved, applicants will receive a schedule confirmation or
an alternative time slot if the desired schedule is already filled. “We
ensure that institutional visit services to the MPR are free of charge.
This is a form of our commitment to providing the best service to the
public who wish to become more familiar with the MPR RI institution,” he
said. In addition to visit services, the public can also access public
information services through the PPID MPR RI directly or via the
official website, telephone, and email. However, Rizky suggested several
improvements, including separating requirements and service procedures,
adding an objection mechanism, presenting the total service time, and
strengthening personal data protection. “Service standards must be
developed from the public’s perspective so that the information provided
is clear, easy to understand, and offers certainty of service,” Rizky
said. Meanwhile, First Policy Analyst at the Ministry of Administrative
and Bureaucratic Reform, Dian Ayu Puspitasari, stressed the importance
of public participation in drafting and evaluating service standards to
make public services more responsive, transparent, fair, and
user-oriented. According to Dian, public consultation forums should be
utilised as collaborative spaces, not merely to fulfil regulatory
requirements.
",
