        "content": "<p>\u201cIndonesia is a shared home worth fighting for,\u201d Muzani said in his\nopening address at the 2026 Annual Session of the People\u2019s Consultative\nAssembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives\n(DPR) and Regional Representatives Council (DPD) at Parliament Complex,\nJakarta.<\/p>\n<p>He said unity was essential for national progress, while divisions\ncould deplete the nation\u2019s energy through mutual suspicion and efforts\nto undermine one another.<\/p>\n<p>Conversely, he said, strong national unity could transform\ndifferences into a source of energy and progress.<\/p>\n<p>Indonesia will celebrate the 81st anniversary of its independence on\nAug.\u00a017.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, he said, those attending the joint session were not merely\nparticipating in a constitutional ceremony, but were reaffirming their\ncommitment to the beloved Republic of Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe promise that the independence we inherited from the nation\u2019s\nfounders will continue to be protected.
