The MPR RI Library continues to implement various innovations to\nincrease reading interest and encourage the utilisation of its\nfacilities. One such initiative is the \u2018Creative Literacy\u2019 programme\nthemed \u2018Pillars of the Nation, Aroma of Peace: Blending the Harmony of\nthe Four Pillars of MPR RI through Aromatherapy\u2019, held at the MPR RI\nLibrary in the Parliament Complex, Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Budi Muliawan, Head of the Bureau of Public Relations and Information\nSystems of the MPR RI, stated in his activity report that creative\nliteracy activities are part of the library\u2019s efforts to present\nengaging activities and increase employee involvement in using library\nfacilities.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe MPR Library always strives to foster reading interest through\nvarious innovations and activities. One of them is today\u2019s creative\nliteracy activity,\u201d said Budi on Monday (14\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n
According to Budi, the library is not only for reading books but can\nalso serve as an alternative space for employees to work, discuss, or\nhold meetings.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe goal is to encourage colleagues to visit the library more\nfrequently. There are many rooms available in the library. If Heads of\nDivisions, Bureau Heads, or Inspectors are looking for a different\natmosphere while working, they are welcome to work here. There are\nmeeting rooms and various other facilities,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
Budi also invited MPR RI employees to utilise the library facilities\nwith their families. The MPR RI Library provides a dedicated space for\nchildren, serving as a means to introduce reading culture from an early\nage.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you have young children, you can bring them here. We also have a\ncentre for children,\u201d said the alumnus of the Faculty of Law, Brawijaya\nUniversity.<\/p>\n
In addition to enhancing the internal literacy culture, Budi noted\nthat the Bureau of Public Relations and Information Systems regularly\nreceives visits from students and the general public. These visits are\nintended to introduce the MPR RI Library to the participants.<\/p>\n
Budi also opened the floor for employees to provide feedback\nregarding the book collections needed in the MPR RI Library. He noted\nthat such suggestions could be considered for the development of the\nlibrary\u2019s collection.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you have ideas, for example, that the MPR library should purchase\na specific book, please let us know. If the budget is available, we will\npurchase it. If not, we will plan for it next year,\u201d Budi revealed.<\/p>\n
Budi hopes that the Creative Literacy activity can serve as a\nmomentum to build a more positive working atmosphere while strengthening\nthe literacy culture within the MPR RI environment.<\/p>\n
In line with this spirit, this session of Creative Literacy involved\nblending aromatherapy, guided by perfumer, olfactory educator, and aroma\ndesign consultant Gita Rinjani.<\/p>\n
The activity not only fosters togetherness among employees and\nprovides a creative experience but also holds relevance to national life\nthrough the introduction of the values of the \u2018Four Pillars\u2019.<\/p>\n
During the process, participants were invited to blend various\ningredients with different characters and scents to produce a single\nharmonious aroma. This process serves as a metaphor for Indonesia\u2019s\ndiversity, consisting of various differences that can be united under\n\u2018Bhinneka Tunggal Ika\u2019 (Unity in Diversity) to build harmony as a\nnation.<\/p>\n
