The accord of 11 factions of the People's Consultative
\nAssembly (MPR) to curb tension among the national political
\nelite, particularly in facing the annual MPR session, is a relief
\nfor the people at large. At least there is a kind of guarantee
\nnow that the MPR has agreed not to put in its agenda the
\nreplacement of President. If they stick to this accord, it could
\neven become an embryo for the development of other accords
\ncapable of securing political stability and security. If so, it
\nis unquestionably a meaningful contribution to the laying of
\nfoundations for remedying a multicrisis situation.<\/p>\n
Admitted or not, the political tension triggered by the
\ncontroversy of the political elite is one of the factors
\nhindering efforts to restore the worsening situation. Logically,
\nif the controversy drags on, this country's turmoil will worsen.
\nTherefore, the initiative of MPR factions deserves a follow up by
\nmaking the security stability conducive.<\/p>\n
It is the leaders at the grassroots level that are demanded to
\nbe capable of materializing security by introducing and
\nestablishing a synergy among various religious communities and
\nethnic groups in society. Rest assured that the creation of
\npolitical stability and security can be a basic guarantee for us
\nin trying to cure the multicrisis now ruining our country.<\/p>\n
