        "content": "<p>Penajam Paser Utara - MPR RI Chairman Ahmad Muzani has stressed that\naccelerating the development of the Nusantara Capital (IKN) in parts of\nPenajam Paser Utara Regency and Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East\nKalimantan Province, is vital to ensure the relocation of the government\ncentre proceeds according to targets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAccelerating development is a key factor so that the relocation of\nthe government centre can proceed according to the stages set by the\ngovernment,\u201d said Ahmad Muzani during his inspection of IKN development\nin Sepaku, Penajam Paser Utara, on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The readiness of basic infrastructure such as road access, utility\nnetworks, and transportation connectivity will determine the smooth\noperation of state institutions in Indonesia\u2019s new capital.<\/p>\n<p>He acknowledged that construction progress shows significant\nacceleration compared to his last visit at the end of 2024, as several\ngovernment facilities have entered the completion stage, including\noffice areas, places of worship, and basic infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The presence of all three branches of power in IKN, he explained, is\nimportant to ensure that government functions run completely and\ninterconnected.<\/p>\n<p>Accelerating development demonstrates the government\u2019s commitment to\nensuring IKN functions as a complete government centre, and it is hoped\nthat the consistency of the work can be maintained so that the full\noperational target in 2028 can be achieved.<\/p>\n<p>The government targets the gradual relocation of state institutions\nalong with the completion of government facilities, he said, covering\nthe preparation of ministry buildings, legislative institutions,\njudicial institutions, and supporting infrastructure for government\nactivities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe MPR is ready to follow the planned stages, especially once the\nfacilities needed by state institutions are available and can be used\noptimally,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>After inspecting the legislative area, Ahmad Muzani and his MPR\nentourage viewed the progress of the Presidential and Vice Presidential\nPalace construction, as well as several other supporting facilities,\nincluding public service areas and open spaces.<\/p>",
