        "content": "<p>People\u2019s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Chairman Ahmad Muzani paid a\nvisit to the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) office. In addition to a\nfriendly gathering, he invited the BPK Chair and her staff to attend the\nMPR Annual Session scheduled for 14 August.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis visit is part of a national silaturahmi among state\ninstitutions, leading up to the MPR Annual Session planned for Friday,\n14 August 2026,\u201d Muzani told reporters at the BPK office in Central\nJakarta on Monday (10\/8).<\/p>\n<p>Muzani also conveyed that during the forum, the MPR leadership hoped\nthe BPK would present its annual performance report. The report will\nsubsequently be read by the President at the MPR Annual Session.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Muzani explained that they discussed the audit work\ncarried out by the BPK as the legitimate institution authorised to audit\nthe government, both at the central and regional levels. As a result of\nthe discussion, Muzani said the BPK reported that an increasing number\nof ministries and institutions are receiving the Unqualified Opinion\n(WTP) predicate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom what was conveyed by the BPK Chair and several colleagues,\nthere is a trend that audits are improving, and more local governments,\nprovincial, regency\/city governments, ministries, and institutions are\nobtaining the WTP predicate. This is certainly welcome news,\u201d Muzani\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>Muzani explained that WTP signifies conformity between financial\nevidence and government accounting standards. The growing number of\nministries and institutions achieving WTP reflects that state financial\nmanagement is being conducted properly and effectively.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHopefully, in the future, state financial management will become\neven more accountable, efficient, and effective,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, BPK Chair Isma Yatun expressed her gratitude\nfor the visit from the MPR leadership. She also expressed hope that the\nsilaturahmi between the MPR and various ministries and institutions\nwould facilitate the smooth running of the MPR Annual Session on 14\nAugust.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe hope is for the smoothness and success of the event on 14\nAugust,\u201d said Isma Yatun.<\/p>\n<p>She also mentioned that the BPK and MPR held a brief discussion\nregarding the governance and accountability of central and local\ngovernment financial reports. As a result of the discussion, she said\nthe MPR Chairman expressed appreciation to the BPK.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Chairman appreciated the recommendations that must be followed\nup by all entities that have been given the results of their financial\naudits,\u201d she revealed.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that the meeting was largely filled with casual\nconversation, yet its purpose remained focused on matters beneficial for\nthe nation and state.<\/p>",
