        "content": "<p>MPR RI Deputy Secretary General for Administration Heri Herawan has\ncalled on Banten\u2019s Generation Z to strengthen national spirit through\nthe 2026 Flag-raising and Marching Competition (LKBB-PB). Heri explained\nthat the movements in flag-raising and marching embody the spirit of\ngotong royong, which forms the social ethos and core characteristic of\nthe Indonesian nation. \u2018President Sukarno\u2019s view was that if Pancasila\nwere distilled into a single core value, it would be gotong royong.\nTherefore, the spirit of mutual assistance, strengthening one another,\nand complementing each other must be preserved by the nation\u2019s\nsuccessors,\u2019 Heri said at the opening of the MPR RI\u2019s Banten Province\nLKBB-PB 2026 in South Tangerang on Saturday. Heri explained that gotong\nroyong is not merely a social habit but a philosophical principle\ndefining the nation\u2019s political character to assist, strengthen, and\ncomplement one another beyond ethnic, religious, racial, or group\nboundaries. When members of the flag-raising squad maintain synchronized\nsteps, adjust rhythms, and uphold formations together, the spirit of\ntogetherness and unity is manifested in tangible action. He added that\nthe deep meaning of the red and white flag-raising ceremony lies in the\nred symbolising courage and white representing pure intentions and\nsincere struggle. \u2018The flag flying at the highest point serves as a\ncollective reminder of the sacrifices made by heroes who defended\nindependence with blood and tears,\u2019 he said. \u2018Therefore, he continued,\nthe perfect posture, respect for the flag, and solemnity during the\nceremony should not be seen as mere ceremonial procedure. Instead, the\nentire sequence is a form of respect for the nation\u2019s struggle history\nand the heroes\u2019 contributions.\u2019 He stated that the MPR RI is striving to\nstrengthen the youth\u2019s understanding of the Four Pillars\u2014Pancasila, the\n1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, and\nBhinneka Tunggal Ika\u2014through the LKBB-PB. Heri also urged students,\npredominantly from Generation Z, to continue loving Indonesia and\ncontribute to achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision. He noted that\nIndonesia\u2019s future progress will be written by a generation choosing to\nstudy diligently, work earnestly, and take tangible actions for others.\n\u2018It is you, young people, who will uphold Indonesia\u2019s dignity and glory\nin the future,\u2019 he said. He also reminded participants of Banten\u2019s\nsignificant contributions to the nation\u2019s struggle history, citing\nheroes and local figures such as Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, KH Syam\u2019un,\nRaden Aria Wangsakara, and others who played key roles in Indonesia\u2019s\nindependence. He stated that the spirit of these figures must be passed\non to the youth through activities that build character, discipline, and\nlove for the homeland. \u2018Strengthening nationalism is not an\ninstantaneous process nor does it emerge from a vacuum. It must be\ncontinuously stirred, nurtured, and cared for to remain alive in every\nchild of the nation,\u2019 Heri said. The MPR RI\u2019s Banten Province LKBB-PB\n2026 was officially opened at the South Tangerang City Hall Field in\nBanten. The event, organised in collaboration between the MPR RI and the\nPurna Paskibraka Indonesia (PPI), saw participation from 10 senior high\nschools and equivalent institutions across Banten\u2019s regencies and\ncities. The participating schools include SMKN 9 Tangerang City, MAN 1\nLebak Regency, SMAN 1 Jawilan Serang Regency, MAN 1 Cilegon City, SMAN 2\nKrakatau Steel Cilegon City, SMAN 2 Serang City, SMAN 2 South Tangerang\nCity, SMK Ikhlas Jawilan Serang Regency, SMKN 5 Tangerang Regency, and\nSMAN 2 Pandeglang Regency.
