Motorists' safety at stake<\/p>\n
If one wishes to travel from Pluit Selatan Raya to Soekarno-
\nHatta International Airport via Prof. Dr. Sediyatmo tollroad, one
\nhas to first pass through a narrow, old and abandoned toll
\ncollection gate.<\/p>\n
For the safety of motorists, I appeal to the authorities to
\ndemolish this \"old castle\" as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
The tollgate poses a great danger to motorists, especially at
\nnight when there are no lights or warning signs in the vicinity.<\/p>\n
As a remedial measure, the authorities should at least put up
\nsome reflecting stripes to warn approaching motorists.<\/p>\n
The road condition is poor and there are also a few potholes
\naround.<\/p>\n
Apart from posing a great danger to motorists, this \"old
\ncastle\" -- due to a lack of proper maintenance -- has also become
\nan eyesore.<\/p>\n
Unless the authorities want to preserve it for historical or
\nmemorial purposes, I see no reason why it should not be
\ndemolished.<\/p>\n
Lastly, I wish to draw another matter to the attention of the
\nauthorities. The flood lights along the flyover are not
\nfunctioning at all times and I sincerely hope that someone will
\nlook into this matter too.<\/p>\n
