A traffic accident involving a motorcycle and a water tanker truck\ntook place at the Jambu Dua intersection on Jalan Pajajaran, Bogor City.\nAs a result of the collision, the motorcyclist sustained injuries, while\nthe passenger passed away.<\/p>\n
\u201cA traffic accident has occurred between a motorcycle and a water\ntanker truck. One victim has died, and one person is injured,\u201d stated\nIptu FX Susilo, Sub-unit Head of Traffic Accidents for the Bogor City\nPolice, on Monday (8\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
Susilo explained that the accident happened while the tanker truck\nand the motorcycle, ridden by AR and carrying passenger TA, were\ntravelling from the direction of the BORR Toll intersection towards Tugu\nKujang. At the scene, the motorcyclist attempted to overtake the truck\nfrom the left side while intending to turn right. This manoeuvre caused\nthe motorcycle to strike the front-left section of the truck, causing\nthe rider to fall underneath the vehicle.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is suspected that the motorcyclist was not sufficiently cautious\nor anticipatory when attempting to overtake the tanker truck from the\nleft while preparing to turn right. Consequently, they struck the\nfront-left side of the truck,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe rider then fell, and both the driver and passenger ended up\nunderneath the tanker truck, where the passenger was crushed by the rear\nwheels of the truck,\u201d he further elaborated.<\/p>\n
The incident resulted in the death of the passenger, identified by\nthe initials TA, at the scene. The driver, identified as AR, sustained\ninjuries and was rushed to the hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs a result of the incident, the motorcyclist sustained injuries and\nis receiving treatment at the PMI Bogor Hospital, while the passenger\nsustained injuries and died at the scene.
