Police have uncovered the motive behind a fatal stabbing in\nJatiuwung, Tangerang City, which resulted in the death of a victim\nidentified as G. The perpetrator, a 27-year-old man with the initials\nMAF, stabbed the victim because he felt offended and hurt by the\nvictim\u2019s remarks during a telephone conversation.<\/p>\n
\u2018The perpetrator admitted he was offended and hurt because the victim\nspoke harshly during a phone call,\u2019 said Jatiuwung Police Criminal\nInvestigation Unit Head, Iptu Dimas, in a statement on Wednesday\n(17\/6\/2026).<\/p>\n
The dispute began when MAF visited the home of a witness, P, who had\nintroduced him to the victim. The perpetrator initially came with the\nintention of resolving a misunderstanding.<\/p>\n
However, the situation changed when the perpetrator realised the\nvictim was also at the location. At that point, P went inside the house\nto get a drink, while the perpetrator and the victim became embroiled in\nanother verbal altercation.<\/p>\n
\u2018When the witness went inside the house to get a drink, the\nperpetrator and the victim got into another argument, which ultimately\nled to the stabbing,\u2019 Dimas said.<\/p>\n
In a state of heightened emotion, MAF, who was carrying a knife,\nattacked the victim. The victim collapsed, covered in blood.<\/p>\n
\u2018The perpetrator arrived carrying a knife. He initially intended to\nresolve a misunderstanding, but upon arrival, another argument broke\nout, which ended in the stabbing,\u2019 Dimas explained.<\/p>\n
The victim died at the scene from the stab wounds. Meanwhile, the\nperpetrator immediately fled after committing the desperate act.<\/p>\n
Perpetrator Arrested in Less Than 24 Hours<\/strong><\/p>\n The murder occurred in the early hours of Monday (15\/6) in the Jalan\nLombok area, Perumnas 1, Cibodas, Tangerang City. Upon receiving the\nreport of the murder, the police immediately formed a joint team to hunt\ndown the perpetrator.<\/p>\n Police then processed the crime scene, examined witnesses, and\ncollected various pieces of evidence to identify the perpetrator.<\/p>\n \u2018Based on the investigation, officers discovered the whereabouts of\nMAF, who had fled from his residence in the Dasana Indah area, Tangerang\nRegency. According to information from his family, the suspect had fled\nto the Bogor area to evade police pursuit,\u2019 said Tangerang City Metro\nPolice Chief, Senior Commissioner Raden Muhammad Jauhari, on Tuesday\n(16\/6).<\/p>\n Police moved quickly to pursue the perpetrator MAF to the Bogor area,\nWest Java. The perpetrator was eventually found and apprehended in an\narea near the Bogor Palace.<\/p>",
