        "content": "<p>A woman identified by the initial A (57) in Sindon Village, Ngemplak\nDistrict, Boyolali Regency, Central Java, died after eating chicken\nsatay sent by her son-in-law. The satay was laced with rat poison.<\/p>\n<p>The Boyolali Police have taken the suspect into custody. Boyolali\nPolice Chief AKBP Indra Maulana Saputra stated on Monday that the status\nof PW, previously a witness, had been elevated to suspect in the case of\nA\u2019s death after consuming the chicken satay.<\/p>\n<p>Suspect PW has been arrested and detained at the Boyolali Police\ndetention centre. \u201cAlhamdulillah, we have arrested the perpetrator and\nhe is currently undergoing examination as a suspect,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>During the examination, PW admitted to buying chicken satay and\nmixing it with rat poison before sending it to the victim, who was his\nown mother-in-law. A died after consuming the satay sent by PW (40), her\nson-in-law.<\/p>\n<p>Boyolali Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Indrawan Wira\nSaputra said the results of the exhumation and autopsy conducted by the\nCentral Java Regional Police\u2019s Medical and Health Division were released\non 2 June 2026. \u201cThe autopsy results and forensic laboratory results\nwere issued on 2 June. During the exhumation, food residue was found in\nthe victim\u2019s stomach: rice cake, poultry meat, peanuts and chilli. So\nthe satay was consumed by the victim,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>PW sent the chicken satay to the victim on Monday, 18 May 2026, at\n6.16 p.m. local time via a GoSend application. PW placed the order using\nthe account of the victim\u2019s second child. PW also instructed the online\nmotorcycle taxi driver to tell the victim that the satay was a delivery\nfrom her second child. \u201cIt is known that prior to this incident, PW had\nnever sent food to the victim,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>A\u2019s death was discovered after her second child, who usually leaves\ntheir child in A\u2019s care, noticed the lights at their parents\u2019 house were\nstill on. The child called out to their mother but received no answer.\nAfter repeatedly calling without response, the victim\u2019s child sought\nhelp from neighbours.<\/p>\n<p>The victim\u2019s older sibling, Widodo (61), said the house door was\neventually forced open by local residents to check conditions inside.\n\u201cInitially, I received information from a neighbour to check on my\nsibling\u2019s condition. At that time, the victim was found inside the house\nlying on her back,\u201d he said. The victim was found lifeless.<\/p>",
