Cipatat Police Chief Kompol DMS\nAndriani Sapin stated that according to witness accounts, an explosion\nwas heard coming from Ade\u2019s house. When residents checked, they found\nthe three victims already lying on the ground. \u2018During the evacuation by\nresidents, there was still a mortar round remaining,\u2019 Andriani said. One\nvictim was successfully evacuated but died while receiving treatment at\nthe hospital, while the other two died at the scene. Based on a local\ninvestigation, it was discovered that the three victims frequently\ncollected spent ammunition casings from a nearby Indonesian National\nArmed Forces (TNI) training area. \u2018The type of ammunition found at the\nscene was a tank shell (tampela),\u2019 he added.
