More woes in Citra Garden<\/p>\n
I refer to my letter Links from Citra Garden 5 published in
\nThe Jakarta Post on Feb. 4, 2002 in respect to problems in the
\ncomplex and am pleased to inform you that the second gate into
\nCitra 5 was opened on Feb. 3.<\/p>\n
However, the security guards who man the gates of Citra 3 are
\nslack and indifferent. For instance, the rule that a gate pass
\nshould be given to a motorist before he or she is allowed to
\nenter the compound of Citra 3 is not always followed. The reason
\nis because they do not have enough gate passes on hand.<\/p>\n
May I suggest that a car sticker is given to residents of
\nCitra 3 and 5 instead and gate passes be given only to
\nnonresidents. This would not only save printing costs, but also
\nthe time needed for collecting and distributing passes to every
\nvehicle.<\/p>\n
If a gate pass is to be used, its quality and feature should
\nalso be improved. At present a cardboard pass with no security
\nlogo is used as a gate pass.<\/p>\n
Some security guards wear T-shirts, and don't wear shoes when
\nthey are on duty. They look more like thugs than professional
\nsecurity guards. The management should insist that they are
\nproperly attired, and disciplinary action should be taken against
\nthose who flout the rules.<\/p>\n
The second gate is opened at the whim of the security guards.
\nIf I am not mistaken the gate is supposed to be open for five
\nhours a day, i.e. from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to
\n8 p.m., but most of the time it is closed in the morning. This
\ncauses considerable inconvenience to the residents of Citra 5. I
\nhope the management will officially announce the time schedule
\nfor opening and closing the gate so that any security guards who
\nfail to open the gate at the stipulated hours should face the
\nmusic.<\/p>\n
