More than 5,000 passengers and 35 international flights at Ngurah Rai\nInternational Airport Bali were affected by the closure of airspace in\nthe Middle East region through Wednesday, 4 March 2026 at 15:00\nWITA.<\/p>\n

According to the airport\u2019s operational data, of the 35 affected\nflights, 20 were outbound and 15 inbound. All flights were cancelled by\nthe respective airlines. Affected carriers include Emirates, Etihad\nAirways, and Qatar Airways on the Denpasar (DPS) to Dubai (DXB), Abu\nDhabi (AUH), and Doha (DOH) routes, as well as returning services.<\/p>\n

Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, Head of the Communication and Legal Division\nof PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, Bali\u2019s Ngurah Rai International Airport,\nsaid that overall flight operations and airport services continue to run\nnormally and optimally. \u201cHowever, we can state that flight operations\nand airport services at Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali, in\ngeneral, continue to operate normally and optimally,\u201d he said on\nWednesday (4 March 2026).<\/p>\n

The airport continues to monitor the airspace situation in the Middle\nEast region, coordinate with airlines for schedule updates and passenger\nhandling, work with AirNav Indonesia to monitor the affected airspace,\nand coordinate with security authorities at the airport.<\/p>\n

The airport has anticipated parking stand needs for five aircraft\nfrom three airlines affected by the flight cancellations. \u201cNgurah Rai\nInternational Airport has also prepared plans to arrange parking stands\nfor aircraft from flights affected, allocating parking for five aircraft\nfrom three affected airlines,\u201d Sandi explained.<\/p>\n

To assist passengers, the airport provides a dedicated airline help\ndesk area and coordinates with the Immigration Office to provide\nEmergency Stay Permits (ITKT) for affected passengers, located on Level\n2 of the International Departures Terminal.<\/p>\n

Management also provides complimentary snacks and beverages daily for\naffected passengers, and a contact centre is available at 172 for the\nlatest information. Management also urges prospective travellers to stay\nin touch with their airlines for updated flight information.<\/p>\n
